Aug 21, 2021
Katherine Diane Ebert was born in Rochester, N.Y., on Oct. 23, 1951, to Robert Marciniak, aka Dr. Marshall, and Dolores "Dolly" Kubitz. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, phenomenal mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother - GG - and a trusted friend. She passed away unexpectedly in her home on Aug. 21, 2021. Kathy was the eldest of her siblings. She had a full sister Susie Cornog (Terry), and two half-brothers, Jason and Ben Marshall (Meghan, their two sons Emmett and Calvin). She enjoyed being an aunt to Angela Taylor (Kent, their adult children Miranda and Travis). She was survived by her four children: Warren Wyrick (Pamela), Michelle Wyrick, Christopher Ebert (Connie) and Richard Ebert (Sarah). Mom was a great confidant and we each felt like she was our "best friend." She also had five grandchildren: Zoe Walls, Shane Osbourne, Alyssa Wyrick, Sierra Vasquez and Shawn Wyrick. She always made each of us feel so special because she was such a special lady. She absolutely loved and embraced being "GG" to Josiah Lock and Chandler Wyrick. She left behind her beloved Chloe, her pet, who is now living with a family member and her own pack of dogs that she can run and play with. We cherish the time we had together.
Kathy had worked for Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium for the past 19 years and was about to retire this year for her birthday. Anyone who knows her, knows that she was a private person but a very loving and generous woman. She had a few co-workers that were also close friends: Aunt Janet, Linda, Diane and Tori. Previously, she worked for Providence and many years at Alaska Eye Care Center. Kathy was loved dearly by the people who knew her and, she will be greatly missed.
We would like to invite family and friends to gather and share stories at a Celebration of Life for Kathy on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Anchorage Cross and Anchor Church, 6505 Debarr Road, from 12-3 p.m.
