Sep 8, 2022

Jeanette "Jan" Snoderly passed peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022. Jan was a beloved wife and mother, as well as a dear friend to many. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her husband Jim. Jan and Jim shared 48 years of marriage together and look forward to being reunited one day in heaven. More than anything, Jan loved being surrounded by her loved ones. She adored her five children and eight grandchildren immensely, and found such joy in family gatherings. She loved planning family events and her grandchildren rarely visited her house without an art project or activity prepared for them.

Jan was kind, generous, and gift giving was something she was well known for. Some of her favorite things included sunflowers, the color yellow, sharing photos of her family - especially her grandkids - crafting, her church family and finding a great bargain. Jan had a deep faith she shared with her husband Jim and together they were very active in their church. She found joy in performing random acts of kindness for people and loved making you feel special.

Jan is survived by her adoring husband, James Snoderly; brother, William Anderson; five children and their spouses, Michael and Renee Snoderly, Brian and Lauren Snoderly, Kristen and Benjamin King, Amy and Zack Barnett and Lacey and Loy Donaldson; and eight grandchildren, who loved her so very much, Isabelle, Cameron, Oliver, Melanie, Ryan, Harper, Odessa and River. Jan will be dearly missed and we are grateful for the time we had with her.

A celebration of life will be held at Christ Community Church in Anchorage, Alaska, on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at 2 p.m.
