Vincent Yelmene, 16, passed away peacefully at home in Wasilla, Alaska, on Nov. 9, 2022.

There will be a service at Janssen Mat-Su Funeral Home, 6901 Blue Lupine Drive, from 1-3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2022. Officiated by Jay Dagenhart.

He was born to parents Tiffany and Vincent Yelmene in Palmer, Alaska, on Oct. 28, 2006.

Vincent was a sophomore warrior at Wasilla High School. He dreamed of being a NASA Engineer in Robotics. He traveled around the states to Hawaii, Texas, Las Vegas, Nev., Colorado, Washington, D.C., and Delaware. Xan loved swimming, hockey, skiing, fishing, hunting, kayaking, art and hanging out with his friends.

He assisted his mom with working with folks. They would take them on walks around parks, bowling, movie theaters and other activities. He volunteered at the animal shelter as well.

Xander is survived by his mother, Tiffany Yelmene; father, Vincent Yelmene; and grandmother, Sandra Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by grandparents, Kay and Rodney Yelmene.
