We lost our incredibly strong in character and compassion, joyful, dedicated and wholly-loving mother on Aug. 6, 2022, at 91 years old. Born in the Depression, a humble little girl in a flour sack dress, she became a stunningly beautiful woman who dressed like a lady. A dedicated wife and iconic mother bear, raising six children in Gods faith and love. She retired from the State of Alaska as a social worker. She was a force of nature. She went on to care for many neighbors and extended family throughout her long life. She never lost her childlike innocence, and we will miss that well. Her poetry and cooking were art forms. She was in her element at Christmas and if it didn't move, it got decorated. We all honor her now in the season she loved best.
A graveside service was held on Oct. 15, 2022, where she joined her "other half" M.J. (Joe) Tillett, who predeceased her on Nov. 14, 2014.
She leaves behind Carol Tillett of Wasilla, Alaska; Leslie and Shelley Tillett of Wasilla; Christopher Tillett of Tombstone, Ariz.; Terrance and Peggy; and granddaughters, Samantha and Hailee Tillett of Tempe, Ariz.
We were raised in music and unconditional love and continue to carry our legacy of being rich in family. We are so very proud of you mom.
