Jack Gray Jr.

Dec 31, 2022
Longtime Alaska resident Jack Gray Jr., 75, passed away on Dec. 31, 2022, in Anchorage, Alaska. Early that morning we think he arrived in heaven to see his parents, riding something with a loud powerful motor, ready for a beer, hugs and catchup conversation.
Jack was born in Colorado and moved to Alaska in 1952. He grew up off O'Malley Road and graduated from East High School in 1966. He joined the Navy, following in his father's footsteps. When he returned to Anchorage, he entered the lineman apprenticeship program on April 1, 1976. He was a proud IBEW 1547 member and retired in 2006.
Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed anything with an engine and power - snowmachines, wheelers, trucks and his Camaros. He was well-known as Uncle Jack to multiple generations of kids, whether he was somehow related to them or not.
He is sorely missed by his amazing and always loving wife, Becky; son, Jack; grandson, Jack "Little Man"; nieces and nephews, Teresa, Pat, John and Martin and their spouses; and great-nieces and -nephews Cherilyn, Amber, Chayla, Chaunna, Kad, Ashleigh, Haille and Langdon. A bucket load of related and chosen family all over the country will be missing him too.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers or donations, he requests that you spend a full day, without any devices, enjoying each other. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Home Kehls Chapel.
