Jasmyne Torrine Najah Russell, 33, a lifelong resident of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away at home with her beloved cat Yule. Jasmyne was born on July 23, 1990, to Christine. Jasmyne was passionate about childcare and animals. Jasmyne graduated from East High School in 2009, where she found a love for choir and arts.

Jasmyne brightened every room she entered and brought love and happiness to those around her. She will be greatly missed by all those who know her. To miss someone so much meant they were extremely special, and her family was lucky to have Jasmyne in their lives. Jasmyne lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures like spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her uncle, James White.

She is survived by her mother, Christine Hines; grandparent,s Keith and Barbara Russell; sister, Cashay Hines; aunts, Laura White and Julie Casey; beloved nephew, Matthew Wilson; cousins, Trenton White, Jesse White, Connor Casey, Camryn Casey and Carter Casey; as well as numerous family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023, at Lidia Selkregg Chalet in Russian Jack Springs Park from 3:30-7:30 p.m.
