Virginia Shadura

Virginia "Ginny" Ann Shadura passed on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024, after a valiant end-of-life battle at Central Peninsula General Hospital. Her family would like to sincerely thank the medical team for their care and diligence during that time.

Everyone who knew Ginny will forever remember her as a sweet, loving person who enjoyed cooking for her family, planting beautiful nasturtium flowers every summer and her everlasting love for the many dachshund companions she had in her life: Frankie, Johnny, Jenya, Rusty, Karly and Mischa.

Ginny was always looking for beauty in whatever she looked upon. Her heart was always there to be given to all living creatures. Her blue eyes and red hair matched her passions, and at times, she glowed. She will be missed by many, but all who knew her will not forget how she touched their hearts.

She will be missed terribly by her family, including husband of 42 years, Paul A. Shadura II; daughter, Christina A. Shadura; son, Paul A. Shadura III; Michael Acevedo and Sharon Acevedo-Cicala; as well as her grandchildren, Savanna Shadura, Paul Shadura IV, Brian Shadura and Cole Shadura. Ginny is also preceded by parents, Albert and Anna Riley; a brother; and two sisters.

Our wife and mother had a private ceremony on Jan. 26, 2024. She was born on May 23, 1947, and we are planning to have a resting ceremony of life on May 23, 2024. Remembrances can be sent to P.O. Box 1632, Kenai, AK 99611, or sabaka@usa.com.
