Raycina Grace Torres, 21, unexpectedly ascended to Heaven on Dec. 23, 2023, accompanied by her beloved soul mate, Lloyd LeFevere, at her side.
A distinguished graduate of South Anchorage High School, she excelled in the JROTC program, attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant and serving as a Squad Commander. Raycina also showcased her athleticism as a valued member of the flag football team. Continuing her academic pursuits, she graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage with an associate of science in dental assisting.
A proud Alaska-born adventurer, Raycina cherished the great outdoors, finding joy in camping, riding four-wheelers and snowmachines. She loved to be surrounded by the warmth of family and friends by the cabin bonfire, and looking for the northern lights.
Those who knew Raycina are familiar with the remarkable young woman she became. She left an indelible impression on everyone she encountered with her amazing personality, infectious smile and laughter that resonated with joy.
Raycina's compassion extended beyond humans to her love for animals. Continue her passion by visiting your local shelter, embodying her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of furry companions.
Raycina leaves behind a legacy of love, remembered by her parents, Miguel Torres and Cathy "Cat" Lammers; sister and brother-in-law, Stevee Lyn and Jesse DeLongchamp; brother, Chad Lammers; and nephew, Ethan DeLongchamp, all residing in Alaska. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins spanning across Arizona, California, New York, Massachusetts, and the U.K.
Raycina is now reunited with her grandparents, Barbara and John Torres, Sue Brundage and Michael Dangerfield.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024, from 1-4 p.m., at Admiral's Place, 9350 Independence Drive in Anchorage, to remember and cherish the beautiful soul that touched our lives.
