Marjorie Foster

Apr 11, 1944 -

Feb 24, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Marjorie Anne Foster on Feb, 24, 2024, in Phoenix, Ariz., with husband, sons and daughters-in-law by her side. Margie was born on April 11, 1944, in Denver, Colo., to Bob and Marge Woods. She met the love of her life, and husband of almost 60 years, Larry Foster, at the age of 6, when her family moved to Moose Pass, Alaska. Margie and Larry married in Moose Pass on May 9, 1964, and had two sons, Dale and Curtis. In her younger years Margie was an avid skier, a private pilot, a wonderful cook and baker, a golfer, a lover of flowers and an amazing quilter. She had a heart of gold, was loved by everyone and a true friend. If you had the privilege to know her, you couldn't help but love her. After they retired in 1999, Margie and Larry spent 10 years traveling through the United States and Canada in their motorhome, meeting an abundance of wonderful people and journaling as she went. They eventually settled in, splitting their time between Alaska and Arizona. Margie's love for her family was infinite.

Her husband, sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her world. She cherished her entire family, and it was her family and friends who gave her the willpower and strength to carry on and fight for her precious life far longer, and with such grace than most could have. She was the definition of grace, determination, love and courage. She leaves behind so many wonderful memories and we were all so blessed to be a part of her journey.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Marge Woods; and brother, Roy Woods. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry; sons, Dale (Renee) and Curtis (Christina); grandchildren, Chase (Tessa), Jake (Chelsea), Hailey (David) and Grace; and great-grandchildren, Bodhi, Dexter, Graham and Jaxon. Margie is also survived by her twin sister Ruth, as well as an abundance of extended family.
