Devante White

Devante Charleszae White was born on April 20, 1992, in Sacramento, Calif., to Valishia Knox. Devante comes from a Baptist family background.

In 2005, Devante's family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where he attended Romig Middle School, West High School and Service High School. In 2011, Devante moved to Tucson, Ariz., with friends Keanu Bolling and Chris TKB Kim, where he continued his education at Pima Vocational High School. There he received his high school diploma before returning to Alaska in 2014.

Devante was always a career-minded individual; from a young age he aspired to become an electrician. He joined the ABC electrician's apprenticeship in Anchorage and was working to complete the program before his passing. His dream was to take care of his family.

Devante was 31 years young when left us on Feb. 11, 2024, to join our Heavenly Father as well as his grandfather "Paw Paw" Melvin Knox.

Devante is survived by his mother, Valishia Knox; father, Dennis "Pops" Quinn; brothers, Moses White IV and Damar Quinn; sisters, Dennishia and Damariea Quinn; grandmother, Linda Knox; aunt, T'pring Bailey; uncles, Voltaire and Dashante Knox; and a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial service and viewing will be held for Devante on March 9, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street, Anchorage, AK 99501.
