Josh Lenhart

Apr 16, 2024
Josh passed in his sleep on April 16, 2024, due to complications of heart disease and diabetes. He was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska.
Josh was loved and admired by many, especially by his three children and their mother. He was a proud West Anchorage High School alumnus, who grew up to be a valued member of the IBEW for almost 20 years. He worked hard and played harder. He was a talented hockey player since childhood, making it to the Junior A division, and played throughout adulthood. He was involved in the dart community, enjoyed golf, loved the Seahawks and was a huge sports fan. He was a walking encyclopedia of sports statistics.
Josh was always there to help anyone out with home projects, moves or anything else he could. He was a devoted father to his three children and when not working, they enjoyed watching sports together.
Macki McDonald said of his friend: "Josh always showed up; a reliable, devoted friend through thick and thin. I will always admire his positive attitude to just keep moving forward. He stubbornly persevered through adversity. He could do no wrong, in my eyes, and will always be a brother to me."
He is survived by his three children, Nessan Lenhart, Easton Lenhart and Stella Lenhart; their mother and former partner, Emilie Lenhart; and sister, Katie Lenhart. He is also survived by his close friends, who were his brothers in this life - particularly Macki McDonald, Chad Creeger, Lucky Arias and Austin Smith. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Josh was preceded in death by his father, Michael Lenhart; mother, Patti Lenhart; and sister, Stephanie Lenhart.
There will be a Celebration of Life starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Moose Lodge, 4211 Arctic Boulevard, Anchorage, AK 99503. Come celebrate the life of Josh with friends and family, catch up with old friends and tell some good stories.
