Rosie moved with her two children to Bethel, Alaska, in 1973, where she worked for KYUK-TV, shortly thereafter founding the Tundra Drums newspaper which at that time was the third largest newspaper in Alaska. Rosie moved on from Bethel in 1994 to travel the country and the world having high adventures too numerous to count. Rosie lived for a time in Dillon, Mont., helping to raise four grandchildren. She moved to Desert Hot Springs, Calif., until she moved back to Anchorage in 2019, and lived under the care of her son.
