It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy Christine Kimball announces her passing on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in Menifee, Calif. She passed from natural causes at the age of 95. Nancy was a longtime resident of Sand Point, Alaska, as well as Anchorage, Alaska.
Nancy Christine Chigaras was born in Brawley, Calif., on Feb. 27, 1929. She was the only child of Christos and Beatrice Chigaras. The family eventually moved to Long Beach, Calif., where Nancy attended Long Beach Poly High School. She graduated in 1947.
She married William "Bill" Clifford on July 4, 1948. They had two daughters: Linda and Deborah. Bill preceded her in death in 1965.
Nancy became the administrative assistant to the principal at Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Calif. She worked at Norwalk High School for several years.
In 1971, she married George W. Kimball, and they started a new journey when they moved to Tok, Alaska, and subsequently Sand Point. She worked at the school as the administrative assistant. Later, she and her husband, George, started an air charter business, Sand Point Air Service, that they operated for over 15 years.
After leaving Alaska, they moved to Pine Mountain, Calif., a small community north of Los Angeles and later moved to Las Vegas, Nev. Her husband, George, preceded her in death in 2012. After his passing, Nancy moved in with her dear friend, Darlene Rodgers, and they enjoyed many adventures together.
In November 2020, Nancy moved back to California to be close to family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Linda and Bill Ramsey of Bakersfield, Calif., and Deborah Bullington of Anchorage; grandchildren, Kim Case of Murrieta, Calif., Angela Best of Valencia, Calif., Jamie and Aaron Miller of Wellington, Colo., Jared Bullington of Willow, Alaska; and six great-grandchildren.
Nancy is also survived by four stepsons and their families: Bill and Judy Kimball of Menifee, Calif., Mike and Rhonda Kimball of La Mirada, Calif., Mark and Leona Kimball of Milwaukee, Wis., Brad and Dolores Kimball of Boise, Idaho; and daughter-in-law, Sharon and Gary Gotori of Corona, Calif.; Wendy Kimball of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; Kelly Lopez of Corona; Megan Kimball of La Mirada, Calif.; Chet Kimball of Milwaukee; Merideth Kimball of Anchorage; Kristen Moore of Irvine, Calif.; Justen Kimball of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Conrad Kimball of Fremont, Calif.; Carlos Kimball of Porterville, Calif.; Reese Kimball of Guymon, Okla.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
