May 8, 2024
Kelly Doreen Pavil passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends after a long battle with cancer.
Kelly was born to Clyde and Mary (Sweetums) Pavil on Sept. 15, 1963, in Bethel, Alaska, where she lived until moving to Anchorage, Alaska, in the 90s, where she met the love of her life and common-law husband, Wilbur Daniel Kingsley, who said: "Babe you were beautiful, dedicated, soul to me and your family. Your approach to life and special communication skills will always be remembered."
Kelly was the only girl in her nucleus family. She is survived by her father, Clyde Pavil; three brothers, Eric, Jeffery (Buffy) and Skidoo Pavil; her only child, Desiree Hacker; son-in-law, Jared Hacker II; four grandchildren, Jared Hacker Jr., Savvy Sway Hacker, Cameron Hacker and her youngest grandchild, Woodzy Hacker; as well as her common-law husband, Wilbur Daniel Kingsley. She also has many cousins, aunts and uncles in the Anaruk family, the Hall family and the Lieb family.
Kelly was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (Sweetums) Pavil; grandmother, Sophie Lieb; and many other cousins, aunts and uncles all across the state.
Kelly loved to cook, however, her passion was her grandchildren, who she doted on every chance she had.
There will be a traditional 40-day feast in her honor and remembrance and those details will be shared in the very near future.
Kelly was a fighter and she loved her family with a fierceness and she will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
