Ian Gamble, age 40, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in his home in Palmer, Alaska, on April 25, 2024, after years of battling lupus. Ian was born on Jan. 8, 1984, in Anchorage, Alaska, to Brad and Rhonda Gamble, and raised in the Mat-Su Valley. Ian was known for his kind heart. He filled every room with jokes and a touch of sarcasm, leaving a mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Ian is survived by his loving family: mother, Rhonda Smith (Russ Black); father, Brad (Tonya) Gamble; brothers, Geoff and Marcus; sister, Emma; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Each of them cherished Ian deeply, and his memory will live on in their hearts.
Ian's life was a testament to resilience and humor, always facing challenges with a smile and a quip. He enjoyed spending time at his family's cabin at Lake Louise. His warmth and laughter will be dearly missed by his family and friends, who will forever remember the joy he brought into their lives.
A private celebration of life was held in Palmer with family members, and the family asks that donations be made in Ian's name to the Lupus Foundation of America, in hopes of supporting others in their battle against this disease.
