Obituary

Georgie Ann Randolph

Feb 4, 1952 -

May 15, 2024

Georgie departed the mortal world on May 15, 2024, succumbing to complications from a long illness.

She leaves behind her husband and partner of 34 years, Randy Randolph. Georgie influenced many lives, leaving behind a large extended family in addition to her son, Kevin Bratcher of Eugene, Ore.; daughter, Stacey Paige of Anchorage, Alaska; and Bobby and Billy Peach of Kentucky. Mother's Day was a flood of flowers, cards and telephone calls from around the country from numerous "adopted" sons and daughters, referring to her as "Ma" or "Mom." Jo Ellen Terwilliger of Wasilla, Alaska, Daniel and Lee Wille of Iowa, and John Fender of Wyoming were keystones in her life. Georgie loved and worried for her grandchildren, Andrew and Alex Bratcher of Anchorage, Kaylena Divelbiss, Lily Bratcher and Tristan Bratcher of Eugene, and Kara Glover of Washington.

Georgie loved her poodles, with six in the house for many years, and they were constant companions, some even traveling to other states with her and Randy. Georgie loved flying in small aircraft, and logged dozens of hours traveling around southcentral Alaska, going to project sites and hunting camps. While seemingly out of character for the thoroughly proper lady, she enjoyed hunting as well. The annual elk hunt in New Mexico was eagerly awaited and the highlight of the year. She bragged her musk ox was the best trophy in the house. Georgie loved the Hawaiian Islands, and those trips were of everlasting joy. Georgie was happiest being a homemaker, caring for the dogs and Randy, and with time to pursue her hobbies and interests.

Her passing leaves a deep hole in the heart of all that knew and loved her. Viya con Dios, Georgie.

A remembrance will be at the Petroleum Club on June 25, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. If you knew Georgie, please join us and celebrate her life.
