Clemencia "Gladys" Rosa-Florez

On June 1, 2024, at 11:10 a.m., in the town of Envigado, Medellin, Colombia South America, Clemencia Florez-Rosa, known to relatives and close friends as Gladys, departed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Carmen Rosa-Vega; and brothers, Mike Sr. and Jose. She is survived by her sister, Maria Rosas and husband Eduardo Figueroa; daughter, Luz Marina Florez-Brown and husband Gregg and their sons David Espinal and Dominick Valentin; and daughter, Griselle Florez-Baum and husband Ed.
Clemencia lived in Anchorage, Alaska, since 1969. She retired from the State Bureau of Land Management where she worked as surveyor programmer.
Upon retirement, she most enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and great-granddaughters, Joyce and Emilia. She will be dearly missed by her friends at the Southside Seniors Home where she lived before to moving to Colombia.
On July 12, 2024, her remains will be put to final rest in the town of Aguada, Puerto Rico, where she was born.
