Thomas Zietlow

Thomas D. Zietlow, age 59, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away peacefully at home on June 28, 2024.

Tom was born in Roundup, Mont., on Dec. 2, 1964. His parents were Pastor David and Carole Zietlow. He and his family moved to Alaska when he was very young, where his father started Faith Lutheran Church in Anchorage.

Tom was a well-respected electrical engineer working across Alaska for over 30 years. Tom loved his family and friends. He was kind, hardworking, intelligent and quick with his dry wit. Tom loved to fish and hunt with family and friends. He especially loved to share his passion for fishing in Prince William Sound.

He is preceded in death by both of his parent; infant son, Samuel; and beloved aunt, LaVonne.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy Zietlow; son, Nicholas Zietlow; daughter, Maddy Zietlow; siblings Carrie (David) Niemi, Rev. Peter (Laurie) Zietlow, Retired Rev. Hans Zietlow, Todd (Karen) Zietlow, Jane Burrow and Retired Rev. J.P. (Rachel) Zietlow; beloved uncle, Don Zietlow; cousins, nieces and nephews and family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Anchorage or Prince William Sound Stewardship Foundation.

There will be a private celebration of life with family and friends in August 2024.
