Alex D. Douglas-Franks, 32, passed away on June 21, 2024. Alex was a lifelong Alaskan, born on March 31, 1992, to Danny Franks and Jeanette Douglas. He attended Bartlett High School and graduated from the Alaska Youth Military Youth Academy and Benny Benson in May 2010. He aspired to become an electrician. Alex was an avid NFL fan whose favorite team was the Vikings.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his father, Danny Franks; brother, Allahjah Douglas; sister, Anthea Raska; niece, Artemus Raska; ex-wife, Marcianna Shannon; aunties, Jeanette Douglas, Terri Wynn, Patricia Glame and Carol Rabineau; uncles, Earl J. Douglas and Donnell (Stephanie) Dougla; the joys of his life, his two daughters, Jade and Jaylah Douglas; and a host of other family members.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Douglas; grandparents, Earl and Clara Douglas and Bill and Brenda Harvey; uncles, Kenneth and Christopher Douglas; and cousins, DeNesha and Desirae Douglas.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage, Alaska. A viewing will be held at 11:30 a.m.
