With great sorrow we announce the passing of Russell Forbes on Aug. 25, 2024. Beloved son of Ronald and Theresa; husband of Farrah; father of Russell Jr. and Olivia; brother of Ronald Jr. (Kelly) and Curtis (Carri); and nephew, cousin and brother-in-law to extended family. Russell graduated from Service High School and served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a medic. He attended AVTEC graduating with a Plumbing and Heating Certification, and worked for Arctic Wire and Rope as a foreman, then for Anchorage Plumbing and Heating as an administrator scheduler.

His family wrote, "Russell was loving, he cared for everyone, compassionate as he lived from his heart, selfless, hardworking, a dedicated father and provider, he was a good listener, always there in a time of need, he had a great sense of humor, respectful to all and a best friend to everyone, he will be greatly missed."

His manager Riza wrote: "Russell was extremely kind and humble and brought joy, love and laughter into the lives of so many. His kindhearted nature touched everyone who knew him. His family was everything to him."

Russell accepted Christ as his Savior as a young boy, he is now in the presence of the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8), we will be reunited at the coming of the Lord.

A Memorial Service is planned at 1 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024, at Legacy Funeral Home, 11621 Old Seward Highway in Anchorage, Alaska, everyone is welcome.
