It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Cyndy (Humes) Denna of Soldotna, Alaska on Sept. 21, 2024 at the age of 59.

Born, Sept. 10, 1965, in Castlegar, British Columbia, Canada, to Dave and Heather Humes, Cyndy lived a life full of love, joy and laughter.

She is survived by her husband and partner in life of 32 years, Mel Denna; children, Wyatt (Katelynn), Josh, Elizabeth (Matt), and Brandi; her parents, Dave and Heather Humes; and her brother, Michael (Tammy) and their sons, Spencer (Jamie) and Nathan Humes. Cyndy also leaves behind aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends who will forever hold her in their heart.

Cyndy brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone she met. Her vibrant spirit, passionate commitment to her family and friends and unwavering kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her. As a devoted wife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister, and friend, her memory will be cherished by many.

An active member of her Soldotna community and church, Cyndy dedicated her time and energy to helping others, always ready with a smile and a helping hand. Her faith and commitment to service were evident in all she did.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support and care during this time.
