Sep 12, 2024

Burton Watson, 87, of Kapolei, Hawaii, passed away on Sept. 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. Formally of Anchorage, Alaska, and Southern California, Burt was born on May 5, 1937, in New York. He will be laid to rest in Anchorage on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Arlene Watson; daughters, Barbara (Tom) Miller and Laura Watson; and grandchildren, Alex Anderson, Sam Miller and Jack Miller.

Burt was a retail buyer and store manager which led him and his family to Ketchikan, Alaska, in 1979. He was an artist and happily spent his retirement years traveling and creating beautiful one-of-a-kind leather and beaded purses and pillows. His work can still be found in galleries in Anchorage and Hope, Alaska. Burt was a kind soul, a sharp dresser, had a great sense of humor and could often be spotted with a smile on his face and playing his beloved grand piano. He will be greatly missed by his friends and especially his family.
