Bill McCain, 78, of Monroe, Wash., passed away in the presence of his family on Oct. 1, 2024. Born in Seattle, Wash., he graduated from Franklin High School in 1964, where he excelled at football and shot put. He went on to play college football at WSU - go Cougs!

He was a longtime resident of Wasilla, Alaska. Bill taught as a PE teacher at Chugiak Elementary for much of his career. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in Alaska. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.

Bill is survived by his wife, Cathy and their daughters, Amanda (Paul) and Laura (Taylor); first wife, Denise and their daughter Jennifer (Lance); grandchildren, Anna, Grace, Evie and Miles; sister, Carolyn; and brother, Danny (Karen).
