Steven O. Hanson, age 67, passed away on Sept. 30, 2024, in Anchorage from surgery related complications. Steve was born in Everett, Wash. on Sept. 9, 1957, and moved to Anchorage on May 1, 1965, where he lived the remainder of his life. Steve retired from the wholesale food service industry, so he could spend more time doing what he loved-spending time roaming the great outdoors with his third and final Brittany, B, and spending the fall season fishing steelhead and hunting grouse on the Kenai Peninsula. He was predeceased by his parents, Otto and Carolyn Hanson. In addition to being survived by his beloved B, he is also survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, David, Mike and Lisa Hanson, and his nephews and niece, Ryan (Julie), Hayden and Marissa Hanson. Pursuant to his wishes there will not be a memorial service. His ashes will be spread at the family cabin at Deep Creek, where steelhead swim and grouse fly.
