Casey Allen Lewis
May 31, 1971 -
Nov 8, 2024
We lost our beloved brother on Nov. 8, 2024, far too soon, at the age of 53.
Casey was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, to Charles and Wilma Lewis. He attended Oceanview Elementary and Service Hanshew High School. While still a senior in high school, he began working at B & B Tool as a tool technician.
He would rebuild air and pneumatic tools, as well as handle expediting, and shipping and receiving. He traveled to the North Slope, or wherever he was needed, to install car lifts, or inspect and give estimates for various jobs. When B & B Tool went out of business, Casey went to work for N.C. Machinery as a building maintenance technician overseeing everything such as heating, plumbing, electrical and everything in between, from the offices, to shops and warehouses. Casey never went to college, but he was very intelligent, more so a self-taught genius! He could fix anything and, if he needed a specialty tool, he would usually build it, rather than buy it. B & B Tool and N. C. Machinery were the only two places Casey ever worked, but he was very well liked, respected and appreciated at both.
Casey's favorite pastime was spending time with his three German shepherd dogs, going on long hikes through the woods or just to the dog parks. He enjoyed movies and music, and playing his guitars. He liked going to air shows, and owned his own flight simulator with four huge screens for flying.
Casey was fascinated with ancient technology such as the forging of samurai swords, to current or contemporary technology such as lasers. Not only did Casey forge several swords and knives, he also built several lasers of different sizes and strengths. He invested a lot of time and money into that hobby.
Casey was preceded in death by sister, Kelle (pronounced Kelly) in 1968; mother, Wilma in 2011; and father, Charles in 2021. He is survived by three brothers, Kenneth, Kevin and wife Vicki, and Corey; two nephews, Kenneth Jr. (Joey) and Curtis; and niece, Christina.
No services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the SPCA or Legacy Funeral Home.
