Margaret "Marge" Walker

Margaret Walker, "Marge," died on Jan. 1, 2025, after a heroic battle of cancer. Marge was born on Oct. 17, 1938, in Flasher, N.D.

In 1965, Marge moved up with her two young sons Gordon and Mark to Palmer, Alaska. The family spent a few months in Palmer awaiting the delivery of their trailer in Eagle River, Alaska. During Marge's time in Alaska, she lived in Palmer, Eagle River and Anchorage. Marge spent her years working in local credit unions and eventually started her own escrow business. In 1987, Marge married her loving husband, Jay Walker.

Marge was a devout Christian and spent her life dedicated to God. Marge provided love and stability to all her family and friends in need. She was a woman of great strength and endured many things in life that made her the dear person who many loved.

She is deeply missed by her husband, Jay Walker; sons, Gordon and Mark Crawley; daughters-in-law, Laurie Bailey, Luella Cox, Delora Bearden and Linette Tobin; grandchildren, Kristen Kirkham, Britnee-Ann Crawley, Chelsea Guintu, Neil Cox and Julie Cox; and great-grandchildren, Audrey Krause, Kylie Kirkham, Kimber Kirkham, Scout Guintu and Ryder Guintu.

A memorial service is planned for Jan. 11, 2025, at 12 p.m., at Mountain City Church of Anchorage, 6401 E Northern Lights Boulevard.
