With deep sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Adolph "Bart" Joseph Barton on Jan. 30, 2025. Adolph was born on Sept. 19, 1947, in Heidelberg, Germany, to Cyril and Bernice Barton.
Bart was born in Heidelberg. He was a highly decorative Vietnam vet with the army. Soon after, Bart started his career with Northwest Airlines in Minneapolis, Minn. He then transferred to Anchorage, Alaska, and then retired in Covington, Wash., with 35 years at Northwest. He was a dedicated employee in the airline industry, where he worked in plant maintenance. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary Barton, and a loving father to his two sons, Brian and Brendon Barton.
Bart was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Bernice Barton; younger brother, Jimmy; and grandson, Bryce. His legacy lives on in his loving wife, Mary; two sons, Brian and Brendon; daughter-in-law, Jennifer; stepmother, Vivian; brother, Mike; two sisters, Ann and Irene; stepbrother, Marshal; two stepsisters, Rita and Jane; grandchildren are to include step Hayden, Riley, Chandler, Isabella, Gabe; two great-stepgrandchildren, Shepherd and Nora.
Reception will be held at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel, 27221 156th Avenue Southeast, Kent, WA 98042, on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., with Military service at 2 p.m., at Tahoma National Cemetery.
