Jeri Nicole Shelton, 46, passed away at her home in Eagle River, Alaska.

She was born in Essex, Md., to Pete and Virginia (Zepp) Buccola.

While online, she met George Shelton and they were married on June 7, 2019, at Cheney Lake in Anchorage, Alaska.

After earning her B.S. degree at University of Phoenix, she found her calling as an elementary school teacher, where she taught second grade at Muldoon Elementary.

Jeri loved crocheting, fishing, reading and teaching.

Jeri is survived by her husband, George Shelton; sons, Chase and Bryce Lybarger and George Timothy Shelton; daughters, McKenzie and Madison Shelton; and mom, Virginia Zepp Buccola.

A service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 1 p.m., at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at Muldoon Elementary on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
