Erin Iverson

Feb 20, 1970 -

Feb 22, 2025

With heavy hearts, we remember Erin Keith Iverson, who passed away on Feb. 22, 2025, after a prolonged illness. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Erin was a man of gentle spirit, and deep complexity.

Erin was known for his unmatched wit, disarming charm and kindness that radiated from him. He had a silly but dark sense of humor that turned even the most serious moments into a chance for levity. Erin faced life with a grin and a wisecrack, bringing comfort and laughter to those around him. In fact, if Erin were here reading this, he would undoubtedly be the first to crack an inappropriate joke or offbeat pun - just to break the tension and make us smile through our tears. His humor was not just a trait, but a coping mechanism, a gift and a signature part of who he was.

At the heart of his world was his beloved child, Rion "Spike" Iverson. Erin was fiercely proud to be a parent and loved Rion deeply and unconditionally. He embraced their identity fully and supported them with quiet strength and pride. Being Rion's father was his most treasured role.

He is survived by his adored offspring, Rion Iverson; devoted wife, Kelli Hallgrimson; loving parents, Larry K. and Sylvia Iverson; former wife and close friend, Colleen Iverson; aunt, Francie (Darrell) Duty; uncle, Victor Reventlow; and many cousins, all of whom carry pieces of his memory in their hearts.

Erin's legacy is one of complexity, humor and love. Though his life held struggle, it also held kindness, laughter and beauty - and he leaves behind a story worth telling and a spirit that will never be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home, 11621 Old Seward Hwy Anchorage, AK 99515.
