Teuvo Tapio "Finn" Soulio

Teuvo Tapio "Finn" Soulio was born on Nov. 20, 1942, in Halsua, Finland. He immigrated to Canada in the early '60s and then onto the United States. He met his wife, Leena Marja Annala, in 1965, in Fitchburg, Mass., and later married in 1967. In 1970, they welcomed their daughter Kaija Sisko.
In 1973, they drove the Alcan Highway up to Alaska, where Finn became a commercial painter with the Painters Union Local 1140. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved watching hockey and football.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Leena; daughter, Kaija; his twin sister, Tuula; and his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother. Toini Korkeaniemi; father, Jalmari Edvard Pihljerta-Soulio; Kalevi Ensio Soulio; Seija "Sally" Clayton; and Rauno Kalevi Soulio.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, at the Finlandia Hall, at 4 p.m.
